Has anyone had range time with this pistol? I had a Zastava M88 and was underwhelmed but a friend told me I had to try the Tokarev out. I'd like some first hand info from a Tokarev user before buying.

The 213 is Chinese-made. Magazines can be hard to find. The Tokarev pistol is either love it or hate it. On the plus side, they are extremely reliable and durable. On the down side, they have the ergonomics of a brick, and a grip angle only a commissar could love.

1gewehr,

Thanks, I think I will get one one of these days. They have a grip angle similar to my favorite .22s, the 422/622/2206 S&Ws.

I have a russian tok in 7.62X25, and love it, but my buddy got one in 9mm at the same time, and I shot his. Pretty much shoots exactly the same, only with less recoil. I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up if I ran across a good deal on one.

The Chinese 213's alledgedly were made for export only andfrom softer steel as well as the 54 version's!

The Yugo M-57 is 1 of the best currently available!

I had a 213 many moons ago. It did what it was supposed to which was put bullets down range. It wasn't particularly accurate, and would only reliably feed ball ammo, but it was a fun little pistol. I regret getting rid of it now.
