Hi everyone, I am looking at purchasing an "officer" size 1911 from Charles Daly. Does anyone have any experience with this brand? (If you already responded to my post in the new member section, please disregard this.) Thanks to all who are willing to provide any insight.

I have a compact 1911 Charles Daly. It has been a great gun. Fairly good fit and finish. It has never failed to feed or eject on me. Pretty much it has worked flawlessly and I have been able to become pretty darn accurate with it. They are in the same family with Rock Island (Armscor) and those also have a pretty good record of reliability for a budget 1911.

If you are in the Nashville area and can make one of the Nashville Meet and Shoot days you are more than welcome to put some rounds though mine.

Rock Island, Charles Daly (1911's other models made elsewhere), Armscor, and I think other's are all made by the same factory in the Philippines.

Thanks for the offer Jason F. If I get the chance to make one of the days, I will look you up.
