:DAny gunsmiths in the west TN area that can make a pistol barrel for my Stoeger so I can hunt legally with it? Mine is 3.6 inches. Has to be 4" to be legal but I'd like a 5". ???

Stoeger Cougar 8000 9mm. I really like this pistol but wish it had a 5 inch barrel to be had. You're probably right in that I should probably just buy another gun for hunting with but I'd like to use this one if I could. If Stoeger had just made it a 4.5 instead of 3.6, I'd be happy but not to be I guess. Maybe I'll buy me a Smith or Taurus wheel gun.

At the distance I'd be using it, 25 yards or less, it should be just find with a 147 gr. HP. I really don't think there would be an expansion problem. Just need a clean shot.
