Gatlinburg Convention Center

Recommended Posts

I may be going to the Craftsman's Fair in Gatlinburg tomorrow and was wondering if anyone knows if the Gatlinburg Convention Center is posted. Is the Center owned by the City and covered by City Park rules concerning carrying, and if so, what is Gatlinburg's law on carrying in/on City Park property? Anybody know?

I am there frequently on business, and I do not recall seeing it posted. That doesn't mean it isn't, I just don't remember seeing signs.

I am unsure if it is city property and what their ordinances are, but PLEASE don't call and ask them! It might just remind them to post the place.

I know for a fact the city commission decided to opt out of the park carry, so definatley do not remind them to post any city property! Although they did allow city employees with HCP's or anyone leaving for a hunting trip after work to have a firearm in a locked vehicle on city property, where as before the company policy was no firearms on city property...period.

Outdate to this thread.

I was just at the Gatlinburg Convention Center today and it is now properly posted with the gun buster sign at all enterances I saw.

I only found this out after walking 4 blocks down hill from my hotel which ment I had to walk back 4 blocks up hill to secure my firearm in my vehicle.
