So fellow memphians where have yall found is the best/cheapest place to get ammo? Every place I go to seems to be selling ammunition at atleast a 50% markup over what it cost on the internet.

The 25-round box of Hornady .380 I bought at G&A yesterday was $7 over one internet price I just found on "Ammo to go" and I think I'll start getting it online if it's going to be like that. Almost got into an argument with the old guy with the hearing aid over the fact that I bought 250 rounds .40 in a plastic bag inside a white box that I believe was Speer, but it was hollowpoint. He said they don't sell it that way. Got it for $80 3 or 4 years ago FROM HIS STORE! And he says it doesn't come that way. I so very much wish I had bought at least 1,000. I hate that store but it was close to me when I needed it. Haven't tried Tommy Bronson yet, which is even closer. Looks like it'll be Wally in Horn Lake or the net. Anything else doesn't work for me.

I've not found a single decent place to buy ammo locally- it's FAR cheaper to just order online via AIMSurplus, ATG or Ammoman.

I'll hit up Walmart occasionally for plinking rounds (Federal 9mm, 40, etc.), but for the most part I buy online!

Wow, is Tommy Bronson still in the bidness? Haven't stepped foot into one since they were over on Union.

After a visit to a local WalMart yesterday...all my purchases will probably be online now. They are no longer cheaper than the interweb. Federal 9mm is now $10.47 and they are selling Tula at the old Federal prices. That's just one example.

I dunno, Bass Pro is not too bad. They've had a lot in stock lately, well 9 and 40 mainly. Last week I saw a box of Remington .45, 100 rds there for 41.99 and at Guns and Ammo the same thing was 46.99.

Yeah Jack, the old guy with the hearing aid (at G&A) is a real pip.

I shop on-line, Walmart, Guns & Ammo, and Bass Pro depending on what ammo I need. Restocking reloading supplies has been a problem after Osama got elected and Sportsman's Warehouse closed. The gun shows have been overpriced as well.
