To Memphians living in District 89

Hi there,

You have a choice coming up in November. You can re-elect your Democratic incumbent, Jeanne Richardson, or you can vote for the Republican, Clay Shelton. Obviously you can vote third party, or even write someone in, but I would urge you to vote for Shelton.

He's been a close friend of mine for several years (we were even roommates once), and I can assure you all that he would be a friend to 2A along with more civil liberty in general. I read a terrible editorial on the Commercial Appeal where they begrudgingly admitted that he has some good ideas, but they listed his occupation as a restaurant manager. While I don't think that's anything to be ashamed of (having been one myself), he is currently an accountant, and if he was elected, would be the only accountant serving in the state legislature. He's a smart guy that anyone here would be proud to have represent them, and I'm even more proud to call him my friend.
