It's always said on message boards that's it's from "General Introduction to Psychoanalysis". I have read that and the above quote is not in it.

It's a cheap....but long book if anyone wants to search for the quote...

As long as I say, "I THINK it was Freud who said, "A fear ..." and I "quote" it to a bunch of bedwetters who profess to know all about him, it'll make a point. I don't know where it came from but according to Wiki it was from "Guns,Murders,and the Constitution". I have not read that book so I do not know.
