Guns and Leather had a few Pistol UpLULA's when I was in there this past weekend. OnTarget in M'boro had one as well I think. Of course now that I read carefully I see you are in Knosville - sorry. :( Loading mags is my wife's least favorite part of shooting - I got a 'Lula' and she thought that was the coolest thing since God created Sigs.:)

If you order from Midway...make sure to tack something else cheap onto the order. The Pistol versions are on sale right now for 23, but if the order is under 25 they add on a $3 handling fee.

$2 boxes of good 22lr make up the difference pretty easily :)

I had my MRI on Friday, and go back to the doc on Tuesday. No better, just in a sling and taking happy pills. Typing and spell checking with one hand and on pain pills sucks by the way.

I did get the pistol and ak loaders by the way. BK, you're welcome to use mine when we meet at the next shoot.

Yeah I might have to give that pistol loader a try since I love my ones for my AR and AK.

Good luck- I had a bad accident a couple of years back- broke my arm/shoulder- they had to open me up to screw some bones back together, etc. 3-4 months of pain meds, 3-4 months of physical therapy. Impressive scar! The shoulder works well enough now. It took about a year to get back to full speed.

I wouldn't sign up for any swimming lessons or volleyball teams for awhile. That sort of activity still hurts too much for me.

Thanks Zen, I got the news back from the doctor that the rotator cuff is fine, just six weeks in a sling until the bone heals. In four weeks I start therapy. Can you do the HCP test with just your primary hand? I guess I'll just have to wait even longer.

I did a few stupid things while I was healing- I tried to ride a bike too early and hurt for a day or two, I tried to mow the lawn and hurt for 2-3 days afterward-- I think my wife used the term "macho idiot" once or twice with me-- but hey, hydrocodone will do that to your judgment!!

I could pass the HCP test one handed, and you could, too, I am sure-- it isn't very hard at all. And are one-armed people forbidden from getting a permit? I don't think so! I'd just talk with the instructor and take it one handed. I would not take it on pain pills, however .

As long as you can hit the broad side of a barn one handed I don't think they could stop you. Worse case scenario I would talk to the instructor first and say if I don't pass the shooting today can I come back once this is healed and just do that part of it? Worst he could say is no and then you just put off the entire thing until you KNOW that you can pass it.

Ordered on myself. I was wondering what you were using at the range that day....
