ORSA, in Oak Ridge has a 1000 yard range. It's the longest I know of. Saw a guy the other day at the gun shop picking up his new Savage 110 .338 Lapua heading over to shoot there.

John Seiver Range has the pistol range open on Sundays. $5.50 per person for 2hrs. Yes, the range officers run a tight safe range. The pistol range has targets at 3, 7, 15, 20 yrds and you do not sit down. There are usually instructors there that can assist her if you ask for help.

Seiverville Indoor Range in Seiverville is also a great range. Rental guns, clean well ventalited, well lite indoor range. They offer several different classes as well as private instruction.

Happy to hear your wife is interested in guns and shooting. Good luck.

Must have changed it because last time I was there you had to sit down PERIOD!

He is talking about a separate pistol range, not the 100 yard bench range.

Is the pistol range inside the building or where? And you don't have to be a member?

the pistol range is off to the left from the bench range. kinda back up in the woods. instead of turning right into the bench range, turn left to the pistol range. For pistols, this is the range to use if its open. You can sit or stand whichever you choose.
