Medal of Honor?

They supposedly took that out, or at least the "Taliban" name I guess, but I won't buy it because of it. Something just didn't jive with me about trying to re-boot a fallen franchise by marketing it to an audience that is more than likely going to be pro-military and saying "Here play as the enemy and kill Americans!"

I'll wait for CoD. Medal of Honor has always sucked IMHO.

Wait, playing as taliban (which doesn't happen in the campaign, haven't played online so I dunno) bothers you, but walking through an airport with a 240, blasting the innocent, unarmed folks trying to catch a flight in COD doesn't?

Which Call of Duty was that exactly? I've only played 1 or 2 of the older ones on PS2 and Modern Warfare.

FWIW I'm not a big gamer. I play every now and again, but I'm very selective on what I play. I can understand if the online play has an opposing force, makes sense, I just think the way MoH went about it was a little dumb and I wasn't sure if they meant in Campaign play or not.

It's not like some activist issue for me, God knows many hookers and civilians have suffered in my GTA games, it was just one of those things that factored into me not buying it. The biggest reason was the reviews off the offline campaign play.

Modern Warfare 2. You play an operative infiltrating a Russian terrorist group in that particular mission. Any of the multiplayer games involve playing as terrorists (COD/Battlefield), or the Japanese (for the WWII based games), or Vietnamese (Battlefiled Vietnam if you like the Battlefield series), if you happen to be on that team. Of course if you don't play the multiplayer portion of the game you don't see that, but the price of admission still supports it.

The opening sequence in MW2 where you are blasting folks in the Moscow airport.

*GT beat me to it. Of course I have no idea why I am in this thread, I haven't owned a game system since PS1, lol.

Don't get me wrong I understand the military's aversion to supporting the game with the Taliban specifically as the Opfor. That said, I think with the correct balancing it could also be a valuable training tool for recognizing/countering existing tactics and identifying potential future tactics with some creative mods in place.

Server is called " ATL - HC- Mixed" with a bunch of spacebar taps at the start to get it to the front if you sort alphabetically. Filter for Hardcore, North America, Ranked, Punkbuster and you should find it.

Just got it yesterday. I prob wont be touching the offline mode as I prefer online, but I am really disappointed in the lack of maps on the game. Ill be trading this in towards CoD in a few weeks.
