I've been waiting 5 months to get this. I finally got it a couple weeks ago and it takes me this long to get time to go shoot it. I went up to RangeUSA and put 400 rounds through it and it worked flawlessly. It was well worth the wait!

I'd like to thank Chance at Classic Arms for helping me figure out what I wanted to get. Great bunch of guys working up there and I'd recommend Classic Arms to anyone in or around Memphis.

While I was up at RangeUSA I rented the Glock 19 and I think I found the next gun I want. As soon as I get the money I'll probably pick one up. Only decision about that one is do I want gen3 or gen4?

I have a good friend with a CDP Pro II that I get to shoot from time to time.

Just love it. Hope to be able to get one... one day. :)

I would think after shooting that 1911 your lust for a G19 would have lessened. Good to hear of a good Kimber story. They seem to run about 50-50 from what I can tell.

Anyway, I have the G26 which I mainly carry, with Pearce extensions. In retrospect I think the G19 might have been a better choice (longer bbl). The diff in grip angle between the G and the Kimber might throw you a bit too.

eapking, I absolutely love the Kimber and initially I didn't like the way the Glocks felt in my hand. After shooting the g19 I found I liked the way it handles.

I was very surprised that I didn't have any break-in period. I was expecting it since on countryfirecracker's EMP we had to deal with it and it took her about 300 rounds to get through it. But I'm extremely happy with it!

I am still curious on this whole 1911 break-in period. I have owned several 1911s, and I have never had to "break one in." Congrats, by the way, on your new 1911. Kimber makes a fine 1911. I owned two of them with zero problems.
