Fun things to do with computerized targets at Guns & Leather?

Hey everyone,

I used the range over at Guns & Leather for the first time yesterday when I took their Handgun Carry class (which was well-done).

The computerized range looks neat! I didn't have time to play with it, but I want to go back & test it out.

What are some of the fun things that you can program it to do? I'm looking for some neat things to try when I go there next.

Oh, here's my target from the qualification:

I did a lot better than I expected to. :drama:

hcp_target.jpg

Glock 34, 9mm (one of G&L's rental pistols)

48 rounds:

18 @ 3 yards

18 @ 7 yards

12 @ 15 yards (the shots outside the red were at this distance)

when ive been there in the past, i was told that there isnt really much you can do except pick a random number between 1 and 15, i think, and go with it. it does break up the monotony but they arent working half the times ive tried them.

you can also program them for intervals, like showing for 2 seconds and then away for 5 or whatever you choose. i use this as a way to test my abilities to get on target without a pocket timer.

Talk to the guys upstairs. I believe there are some pre programmed runs that will work your butt off on the range. Target runs out, presents for a second, turns moves, turns, perhaps backwards (no shoot). Get one of them to set something up for you.

There are 70+ programs we've put in it. Also, if you can think of a sequence you'd like to shoot, leave it with me and I'll get it plugged in and get a number put on it. Also, if it doesnt work for some reason let us know, it takes about 30 seconds to fix it.

Is that 30 seconds with one arm? :biglol:

Hurry up and get well!
