So, a couple of weeks ago my mother in law's dog starts barking. She goes outside and hears someone in their camper. Last weekend a guy that hunts the property across the road from me has a Mathews bow stolen out of a shed on the property. I live directly across from where the bow was stolen and next door to my in laws. I've had all my locks re-keyed and I have started being careful to make sure the house, shed, etc. are locked when I'm not home. It was real quiet out here. I used to leave the shed wide open for a couple of weeks at a time and never locked the house except at night when we were in bed. I'm really not all that scared or nervous. I'm mostly disappointed. Thieving :poop:heads.

Unfortunatly, I don't think there's anyplace where you can leave your house unlocked anymore, even out in the sticks. Sad but true.

It burns me up when people leave the doors unlocked here at night and leave the garage door up all night and stuff. It only takes one time. My great aunt got killed out in california back in the 90's by some dude that got into her house because she didn't lock her sliding glass door and put the stick down so it couldn't be opened. He surprised her in her sleep, strangled her, raped her, and then took a hatchet and cut her private parts up (why I dont know). Anyways he is on death row for it right now. She always said nothing will ever happen to me. I tried telling her as did the rest of the family numerous times that she was giving anyone an open invitation to just "come on in" and she would always dismiss it. Well she paid the ultimate price because of it.

Maybe if we had public/televised hangings and in some cases outright torture much of this would stop. Maybe even let what ever family member wants to, evict the punishment on the perp in what ever way he so chooses.
