Kinda reminds me of the guy in Stan Lee's search for superhumans. I would like to see him up against people that are not his students.

It makes me think of the superhumans episode, Daniel heads to Chicago to meet "The Human Stun Gun"--a man who claims to be able to knock a man to the ground without touching. If I remember Daniel didn't buy it.

I'm not all that tough but my aim is pretty good.

For a while, my dad drove a truck leased to a trucking company but owned by one of dad's buddies. I met the truck owner's son one day. He (the son) lived in Decatur, TN and had stopped by to see his dad after a Karate meet. He was apparently quite accomplished in Karate as he had a trophy with him he'd just won that was nearly as tall as he was. My dad's buddy said, "He can stand flat-footed, jump straight up and kick a man in the head. Tell 'em what that'll do for you in Decatur, son," and the son replied, "It'll give you time to yell, "Help," before somebody blows your ass off with a shotgun.

It depends on the way you define "TOUGH". I would rather fight a 6'6" 285lb man than a little wirey short guy. Big guys are slooooow and unless you are fighting in a phone booth big guys are no problem. PLUS if a big guy does hit you, you won't feel a thing until you wake up. Little dudes hurt. They are fast, small targets and their punches won't knock you out, so you get to feel the pain.

To me "tough" has nothing to do with fighting or physical prowess. The toughest men I have ever met were not athletes or Kung Fu experts.

The old adage is "Its not the size of the man in the fight, but the size of the fight in the man" That technique looks familiar. Anyone know what it is. Similar to Akido or Grav Maka maybe.

Mikhail Ryabko is an ex-Russian miltary officer and politician. He was a monster when he was young. The dude knows how to punch a man in the solar plexis. When the young guy is punching that dude in the stomach, he's punching muscle. When Mikhail punched him, he punches him right in the solar plexis in a slightly downward punch, with that massive fist. Devistating! He reminds me of Steven Seagal only not as fat.

I'm not all that tough but after more than 20 years of several martial arts and a couple spent kickboxing, the fellow would have to do that to me and it have the same effect, for me to believe it.

I've been hit a lot, but it's always taken far more effort than he seems to be putting into it for the blow to take me down like that.

It is certainly not the size of the man at all.

A 100 or so years ago while I was at Ft. Hood I entered a Kick boxing, boxing, karate type contest that was post wide. You see I thought I was the IT in **IT. I won my first two round matches and was feeling good, only one more and I was going to be in the finals.

I look across the ring and see this dude about half my own scrawny size and though "Kewl" I am in......Oh how very wrong I was.

That little fool was so fast I could not see just how he was hitting me but I knew he was because it hurt like the blazes. Needless to say I did not advance and then I spent about two weeks recovering from all the bruises this dude had put on me.

He did not win the thing but fought the final against a another guy about his size. It seemed the bigger that they were the earlier they were eliminated. It was also the last time I tried any such foolishness.

Yall maybe right that size isnt everything but I have been whipped by dudes bigger than me but never smaller than me. Also, the more experience you have the tougher you are. Like I said growing up if I wasnt in 100 fights at least then I wasnt in any. I would say I won about 80 of those at least. Course now I dont want to fight unless I absolutely have to but as a kid I would throw down with anyone, anywhere, at any time.

And almost always went after the biggest fellows he could find.

I know what you mean. One of my co-workers is a Krav Maga instructor and he only weighs like 120lbs. He will murder you. I spared with him one day and he put a beating on me.

I had a little guy put a whoppin on me when I was young. He had a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I was finally able to take him to the ground and end the fight by grabbing is nuts and squeezing. I was beat up pretty good. We became friends after that.

One of the guys I grew up with was about 5'-7" or 5'-8", and 125 pounds or so, soaking wet. He also had a chip on his shoulder, and really liked to fight.

And almost always went after the biggest fellows he could find.

The scary thing is, I don't think he ever lost a fight. All the ones I ever saw him in, the other fellow was left in a bleeding heap, wondering what just ran over 'em.

Anyway, no, size has nothing to do with it. Or gender, for that matter, since I even know a couple of small women that could put someone your size out quick.

That reminds me of a guy I grew up with. I was always a bit bigger but he had the right or wrong attitude. He climb a tree to fight someone at times. Almost always on edge for a fight. One one hand you would thing he would be great in the armed services but knowing him, he was they type that would not be able to control himself long enough to follow orders long enough to stay out of trouble.

I never had a fight with him and I will be honest I never wanted to. I was not big like I am now. I was small until I finished high school. He was a bit smaller but mean as a copperhead.

I saw his handy work a few times a well.

I have not seen him in years, but my family gives me updates on him every so often. He has had some run ins with LEO's for some minor drug offenses. I know it is in my best interest to not get mixed up with him.
