I agree on the staff at Shooters Depot. I picked up a Chiapa 1911-22lr there and will continue to support them as I am able. Wether I decide on the xd or Glock they will be my first choice when shopping.

I just thought I would share a photo from a friends photobucket page. This is a XD tactical 9mm. I’m not saying there aren’t hundreds of Glocks in theater but it’s rare to see the guys that have XD’s. 4447079316_e078ee48c9_o.jpg

Oh, horse pucky. C'mon, the odds of 5 out of any 5 XDs malfing in the same short time span are pretty much the same as for 5 out of any 5 Glocks: that is, right at a bazillion to one, unless your "heat of battle" training was in molasses or something.

Not to beat a dead horse or hijack a post, but this topic was discussed further by one of the owners of an XD who was there that day. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/tactics-training/47171-series-1-tactical-handgun-course-oct-9th-dickson.html

Thanks for the link, very interesting. After reading it I am more confident that the XD would be as good of a choice as the 34. 95% of any malfunction I have ever had on my current arsenal have been user error. If someone puts 350 rounds through the pipe before a single malfunction, I am ok with that. I am more prone to "limp wrist" a round on my last mag of the day, resulting in a failure to eject.
