It shoots wonderfully and I will also echo that which was mentioned on gunblast.com. This by far and away is one of the easiest .40s I have ever shot in terms of recoil. It doesn't hit much harder than my 9 did and the new trigger design (compared to the first SR9s) is a most welcome enhancement. Going to clean and lube this one then it will be an EDC gun for sure.

Need a recommendation on hollow points to run in it. I am assuming the PDX1 is still a very good choice for the .40? I ran it in my 9 and liked it but this is a new caliber for me.

Also, side bar, but anyone who wants my small supply of 9mm I have left can meet me F2F in Johnson City. I have 132 rounds of UMC ball ammo from a bulk pack and 20 PDX1 carry rounds. $35.

Edit (ammo sold pending funds)

Hope it's as good as the SR9. A lot of people seem to be against the SR series due to early trigger design worries, but I've got a SR9 produced after the original recall and have put over 1,000 rounds through it & never had a problem of any kind. I've shot almost every brand of FMJ, hollow points, +P, and it has performed perfectly. Never had a problem with the magazines or trigger & they are extremely accurate. I can't wait to try one out. The SR9's are by far one of the best pistols you can buy, especially in this price range & I can't wait to see how the SR40 performs! I bought my SR9 and threw my Glock away! They retail for $525, but you can probably find them in the $450-$475 range.

D&T Arms just got some SR40's in and they are well below the prices above. :D

Merged threads... Do we really need two threads created like 6 days apart by the same person with almost the exact title discussing the same damn thing? I think not.

Thanks. I'll be sure to call them tomorrow for more info. I wonder if they ship because I live over 3hours away from Goodlettsville. That's the bad thing about where I live. There is only one place to buy new guns...I checked & SR40's are almost $500 locally.

Do you guys know if these will fit in the same holster as the SR9? Dad has a blackhawk serpa for his SR9.

No. The SR40 slide is wider and a bit taller.

I can easily put my SR40 in the blackhawk serpa made for the SR9. The slide is wider, but not too much.

Also, I've put about a thousand rounds through my SR40 and it runs like a champ. Truly is the smoothest shooting 40 cal I've shot

Interesting. In the Fobus and Serpa we tried it wouldn't work.

I was scared someone would say that and make me go buy one
