Another "Recommend me a holster" thread

After procrastinating for a long time, I finally took my HCP test and sent off the application.

I need ideas on what kind of holster or other carry options will work for my special needs. I'm leaning toward Smartcarry and trying to stay away from the fanny pack. Ankle holster is out of the question.

My problem is, I have medical issues with my legs and can't wear normal pants. All of the pants I have are homemade to fit my needs and all have an elastic waist. I thought about pocket carry but with wearing basically what amounts to sweatpants, a pistol may be too heavy. Also I am a big SOB so I think I could conceal a bazooka if I need to.

I don't go too many places away from home but would like to take my gun with me when I do. I can't drive, so when in the truck my gun can be in the seat or glove box ect.

What options do I have or am I going to have to try to make something that works for me?

You could try a shoulder rig, under a button up shirt, but over a t-shirt. When you need the weapon, you "Superman" the shirt - that is, you rip it open and draw. Of course, this sacrifices a shirt (fair trade in an emergency), but there are concealed carry shirts made for this, that fasten with little snaps, but have false buttons sewn on the front, to make them look like normal shirts.

Google "Belly Band Holster". There are many to choose from. I have an Ace Case that does the job.
