I decided to rebuild my AK. I got rid of the Tapco furniture I installed and purchased a Midwest Industries quad rail forearm, a Magpul stock, a FAB pistol grip and a LaRue vertical grip. I also moved the Surefire flashlight to the quad rail for better light control. I like this build much better. Here are before and after pictures.

Mike: Dude, those custom mounts are awesome, I may have to get in touch with him.

Mikegideon: The Magpul stock makes it feel like I am shooting a whole different rifle, it is so much better. The difference in all the furniture was well worth the money spent. The only downside is the rifle is a bit heavier now, which doesn't bother me, but might be an issue for some.

Rifle weight is pretty low on my list too when it comes to adding function. I'm betting you improved the balance some

Oh yeah, I have much more control over the rifle now. Going from the Tapco to this is like night and day.

Oh yeah, I have much more control over the rifle now that your fiance lets you put on your big boy pants every now and then. Going from the Tapco to this is like night and day.

Hey buddy. :)

Dude!!!! If you wanted a AR why didn't you just build one?

( Looks NICE)

I have an AR that is worthy to be used in any Arnold movie. I like my AK also and wanted to make it better. I think it looks nice too, thanks.
