what kind of scope is that???

It is a cheap one! I don't usually spend much on my optics, I have been shooting cheapies for several years on my deer hunting rifles with little or no problems and have never wanted to spend more than $75 to $100 so I am cheap I guess. As long as I can take deer up to about 200-250 yds then I am OK shooting cheapies.

I love to hear that, Anders. Most internet forums are full of people pretending like they actually need a scope that can withstand fast roping from a helicopter into 30 foot seas or being run over by an abrams tank in the desert.

Alright, where is everything else from, scope mount rail for the fore grip and whatnot? I'm looking at getting a few accessories for my AR and you seem to do things in the price range I can actually afford

No kidding, I have been looking in to ak47's as a weekend toy but now i'm not so sure. I might have to try building an AR.

I buy a lot of stuff from this site, hunting, fishing shooting and riding, my other passion is off roading and I have a Yamaha Rhino that I am spending all the rest of my money on!

The link I posted here is to most all of the AR stuff he has to offer but if you go to the home tab you will see he has lots of good stuff! I also bought 260 rounds of 223 from him, the wolf brand stuff.

Back about 25 years ago they had a small surplus store in South St Paul that I shopped at everytime I made the trip to the Twin Cities. The prices were great and the people were friendly and knowledgable.

Hey looks really good. I'm really interested in that rail you have mounted to the bottom of the fore grips (or it looks like its mounted to a rail). I didn't want to remove my standard guards for a replacement (cheapest was $89 that i saw) just to fit a cheap vertical hand grip. I don't need a full 4/6 rail setup.

If possible, could you explain how you did it or post a link to the product you used to do this? I saw the vertical grip on sportsman's guide.

I'm running a 1-4x bushnell shotgun scope on my 16" upper. Tough and rugged, really clear optic. Easy on the wallet. I wound up with 2 riser blocks and a couple different scopes so i can mix and match. Used mostly doublestar parts on mine...no problems.

This is the one I have on mine:

You just take your lower half of the handguard off and the rail has 2 "nuts" that go inside the guard then the rail attaches with allen screws. I did however have to drill one more hole in the handguard to mount it so it was even at both ends, but it was really no big deal to put on at all..

Ah ha, it comes with a rail to mount it on. Looks good, thanks. I'm going to get one.
