I have never owned any Spikes gear. Owners/fans give me the good and the bad on this lower. It just shipped from Montana today I will get a photo up as soon as it arrives.

I plan to replace the trigger with a Timney single stage unit (my favorite) and use this lower with my recently acquired 6.8 upper that has been sharing space on my M&P 15T.

It's good gear. Most all of my ARs are homebuilds on Spikes lowers. Never had any complaints about 'em. I've got 2 more Spikes lowers sitting in the safe waiting for my next bad idea :-)

Pretty good lower. Supposed to be better than DPMS/ Bushmaster/ etc...

I built my 5.56 rifle on a Spike lower, and have no complaints. All the pin holes lined up right, the machining and finish seemed good.

Done a lot of builds on Spike's lowers, both for myself and customers. One friend who had a 9mm AR built had all kinds of issues with it, and we spent 6 months trying to fix it -- both ourselves and going through Spike's. We never wanted to send it in, so we just kept calling and asking what was wrong with it. Every time, they would have an answer. Finally managed to get it running, and if we had just called Spike's the first time it would have saved us 6 months.

Good people, good gear... I'd do another build on one of their lowers without a second though.

I got a Spikes complete lower for my fist AR and have loved it. It locks up nice and tight with my BCM upper. I would have gotten the BCM lower but at the time money was tight and the Spikes was about $100 cheaper. Good quality and they don't use just any LPK in their lowers, from what I understand they pick and choose the best parts to create their own kit.

sounds like you are talking about my rifle. I did have many problems with it and had to send it a couple times but the customer service was easy to deal with. They sent me parts trying to repair it before I sent the rifle in but ended up having to send it in anyway. They repaired at no cost and even sent me an extra mag even though some of the problems we due to the fact that I installed the wrong buffer and buffer spring. They made small adjustment here and there correcting my mistakes and now it runs beautifully 300-350 rounds and counting down the pipe with no problems. They will do anything to keep your business and the customer happy.

would use there products in the future without a doubt

Killerford,

Yeah, was talking about yours -- I didn't think we ever sent it in, my bad. :) Just thought they kept recommending/sending parts.

To OP: Yet again, excellent customer service and very high quality, especially for the price!
