AR15 Scope (On a Budget) I Need Suggestions!

My wife is awesome!

I have the green light for a firearm purchase this fall.

I have decided to get my first AR15. I am not ready to build, so I plan to purchase a Doublestar: Star 15 M4 16" .223/5.56

The rife cost will wipe out most of the budget, but I need optics.

I would like to have something that could target 100-200 yards in an AR style optic.

I have up to $150.00 to spend and want your suggestions.

I found the Firefield® 2.5 - 10x40 mm AR - 15 / M16 Laser Scope, but it might be crap. I don't know anything about optics.

The link is below. Anyone have thoughts about this scope or have a suggestion to offer?

Are you wanting a scope or red dot. Are you wanting to shoot 6 inch groups or happy with hitting the target? I don't try to shoot to claim to be a superior marksman but I bought a NCstar 3-9 x 24 that works well. About 200 rounds through it and still holding zero. From reviews these are hit or miss. Or if you want a red dot the Vortex strikefire is awesome. I have it on my other AR and it works great. I need to put some locktite on the mount but it holds up very well and has a lifetime warranty. It also comes with a 2x magnifier that screws in. For the money either one will do the job. The vortex is hands down much nicer though.
