I did that exact same thing when I wrecked back in 05 (not kidding).

The only difference is my feet never came back down like the guy in the video.

I was in a curve doing between 60-70 MPH (4 lane divided hwy in BFE so that's not that fast).

I hit a patch of dirt, my ass flew over my head like in the video, fish tailed a bit, the bike left the road, then I slammed into a stop sign, back first, while still upside-down.

I snapped my spine in two places, ruptured my spleen, broke two ribs, punctured lung, minor head injury, and a few more lesser minor injuries.

The exact reason I refuse to ride inspite of the powerful appeal.

Back when I was stationed at Ft Hood I tore up a friend's 70cc Yamaha Champ back in the late 70's hauling ass out thru an open field, I completely forgot about the huge ditch in the middle of the field. The two week old little bike was destroyed and I was torn up a pretty good myself...and drunk very drunk just like ever other weekend or weekday for that mater back then.

I promised myself as I was carrying (yes carrying) that bike the 1/2 or so back to my trailer that I would never get on another....I have kept that promise to this day.

But now that I am much much older and no longer drink I do sometimes think about how cool it must be to be on two wheels and feel the wind against my body cruising down the open road.....Boy do I think about it.

Maybe just maybe one day, but I really doubt it.

I lived waaaaaay out in the country back then and if I had been seriously injured I would have likely died. It would have taken the other drunks hours to realize I wasnt coming back to begin with, then they would have had to find me and any emergency vehicles were at minimum a good 30-45 minutes away. I made that promise to myself that day and as I said I have kept it.

Overall I was fine that day, basically a huge raspberry is all, but as hard as I lived and drank at one time had I also been a rider I surly would not be here bugging the crap outa you guys with my long rambling posts every day.
