I Killed this doe Thursday Sept 30 sorry i don't have better pics but it was getting late and since i process deer myself i need to get rquartered and on ice asap. Anyway as you can see great shot placement she was broadside at 20 yards and only went about 20 yards before expiring.

Very nice "slick" Conrad, great shot placement too! Congrats on a big, fat butterball doe...ought to be some fine eating there, bro.

I can just taste dem backstraps now! ;):eek:

Thanks for the compliments guys and there is absolutely no way i would take a head shot on a big game animal especially with a bow yes i have shot a few deer in the head or neck. one was a close shot and all i could see was her head and neck and was confident in the placement and the other was a big doe we jumped and was running away i got the scope in front of her and pulled the trigger at the shot she tumbled through the snow. I had shot her in the ear and the bullet had come out her eye socket killed her instantly however i could have wounded her or completely missed. Just a little luck i guess. Now as for shooting a deer on the run, that is how we learned to deer hunt. I grew up in South Dakota and the Gun Deer Season was only 8 days long and we always did deer drives to get the deer moving and yopu had to shoot em on the run. that is just how we did it but it is more open out there. But since Tennessee has longer seasons i can wait for the shot to develop.
