Looking for an FFL for transfers

I'm currently in the process of getting a firearm from out of state and I'm not particularly happy with the service that I've gotten from the FFL that I'm using this time around. (They will remain un-named till I get my gun, but I doubt anyone will be surprised) For future purchases I'll be looking to use someone else.

I live north of K-ville between Heiskell and Norris. Any recommendations?

Mike Crow at Austin's TN Firearms in Oak Ridge. He is a good fella. I have done trading with him in the past and took my carry permit course through him.

No offense boss, you obviously work there, and your incessant posting has actually made me not want to go there.

Very, very dedicated customer...... I think we're past a dozen "recommendations" in a day.

no BOSS actually I dont...but it burns me up when others trash a great place for no reason. and being in the business owner world I realize that word of mouth can make or break a business at times....or at least hinder it. So for every 1 negative that it gets, ill give it 2 positives. Don't go there, thats your choice....give us more to buy and the others MORE of your money.

yes...might be a little much. just wanted to get the good word out. the recent attacks again Bill and Mike were un called for. That guy saying that crap is trying to ruin Bills image and business. Who am i NOT to help do the opposite. Im done though...I see that my words have received the attention I was hoping for. AND NO I DO NOT WORK THERE. MY NAME IS SETH. ASK FOR ME, I WONT BE WORKING THERE. might be there, buying trading or just hiding from the wife....but NOT AS AN EMPLOYEE..

Bill's is actually a great place to deal with. They are quick to call you when your transfer comes in and once your there it seems to take less than ten minuted to get all the paper work done. It 20 transfer fee plus 10 dollar background. But what makes it fun is messing with the old marine Bob while I'm there.

In the past, I've used other FFL's to handle incomming out of state transfers, but having one in O/Ridge would be handy. My reading comprehension might be 'off' today but it looks as though Austin has the BUYER fill out a form before they'll send a copy of their FFL to the out of state dealer. Is that normal, or just an idiosyncrasy/policy of that store? Usually my FFL would just fax a copy to the outta state dealer, and call me when the item arrives.

What? No informed comments, opinions, etc? Guess I'm not in the right 'clique'!

Se ya', have a good life.

I noticed that also mrkerker. I've never been in that shop, But if I was looking for FFL transfer on line and read that. I would keep looking. It had a very Barney Fife vibe about it. IMO.
