A2 Front Sight Tool

Anybody know where I can pick up an A2 front sight adjustment tool in the Nashville area? Somebody that would have them in stock? Need to tweak the iron sights on my AR tomorrow, and don't want to use a hammer and vise grips

You know it can be done the the nose of a 223/556 FMJ. A slow and somewhat frustrating method but it works in a pinch.

That is all I have ever used. Works great!

I'm a newbie. I use a quarter for all my other sights

EDIT: OK, got it. The FMJ should work fine. I would still like to have the tool, but can make do the other way.

We used a nail in the USMC to adjust our fronts sights

Nails do work but man do they mar the finish.

If they sell them, I'll just run down and grab one. Gonna be bumping the sights in at Stones River. i want to see the place anyway. never been there

Yeah, I was afraid of that :-). Should I call ahead, or are you sure they have stock on the tool?

Call ahead to make sure, but they generally keep them in stock.

Went to Outpost. Bought the Tapco tool. Doesn't fit the DPMS sight. I went out on the Midway site, and it said that in the reviews. Something ain't milspec.

So, i'll be using the Garufa bullet method. Wasn't a total loss. Bought some ammo on stripper clips and a couple more PMAGs. The PMAGs were 11 bucks. Cool place.
