First Buck with my bow.

This was my first buck I've shot with my bow. I gt a few does the year before last and I didn't hunt deer in TN at all last year. It was nice getting back out to nature and relaxing a little.

Shot at 15 yards. Cornered away, hit the bottom of the spine, both lungs and went through the top part of the left ventricle. He hit the ground and wiggled about 15 feet before he went on.

I've got the rest of him quartered up in the cooler right now. It'll be breakfast then butchering. Then.. oh boy.. Jerky time.

Way to go. I love archery deer hunting. It is easily my favorite hunting. I was hoping to have a new bow this year, but i have spent to much on guns. Next year i will be back hanging on a tree. It has been a little hot for to much hunting.
