Well, the same link and everything. We must have been looking at Drudge at the same

time, also. Frightening, isn't it?:)

I don't have a problem with this as a LEO. My camera is on for traffic stops so I could care less if someone else is taping too.

And I'm willing to bet you comport yourself with honor and integrity as well. Of course you wouldn't have a problem with it. I would be willing to bet the most vocal advocates against it are those departments or officers that already have a large number of complaints and then therefore fear that a videocamera-armed public will give those complaints some teeth.

It's never been illegal here. If you have no expectation to privacy somewhere you can be recorded all day long. That court ruling doesn't really mean anything here but also we don't have the same laws. I just do my job assuming everyone has a camera recording me. This day somebody will throw you up on youtube acting like a jack ass in hot minute.

Isn’t this the guy that was running from another cop?

I don't think so.

I think he was just riding his bike w/ a helmet cam and was maybe speeding or something when the off-duty, out-of-uniform officer who then pulled in front of him, blocked his path and drew his weapon without indetifing himself as a LEO.

I couldn't imagine ANY brazen criminal outrunning the lawdawgs and still popping wheelies in the process.
