Is there a good place to get a belt around Nashville or Franklin area? Like a Police supply store that sells to the public.

Try the Franklin Gun Shop or run up to Academy of Self Protection, I know those guys have some belts.

Also Green's Military in Donelson.

The biggest advantage that I see the tactical style belts having over a leather belt is the amount of adjustability. With a leather belt you have to go with the holes that are already there or punch new ones, and the tactical style belts are basically infinitely adjustable which helps to accommodate the slight variances in different gun/holster/lunch combinations.

Boy, that sure is the truth, especially with IWB.

I use a Don Hume 1 1/2 belt. It is colored like a dress belt, which is great, since I wear a shirt and tie everyday.

Picked up a 1.5" gun belt from DM Bullard on Ebay... It was $65 and I had it in 3 days. I also got a nice IWB holster for my XDsc while I was at it. There doesn't seem to be a lot of info about this option, but I am more than pleased.

I figure more options is better than too few.

I looked around in Franklin the last time I was in there but I didn't see anything. I'll have to go back and look again and maybe ride up to Joelton and see what they have. I like to try before I buy on some stuff.

I have seen the webbing style at Franklin and ASP. Leather, you may have order as I have not seen them.

I must have over looked them, but I wasn't actually looking for a belt last time I was in though so it is possible.

Maybe I should get a full Safariland or Bianchi Duty setup and walk around like Barney Fife. (no disrespect to local LEO, well most of you guys anyway. :D)

I have an Aker 1 1/4" with the reinforcing for OWB.

Also a Filson 1 1/2"for IWB.

I'm ressurecting the thread just to brag on The Beltman. Mine came in today after about a 2 week wait. I tried it out with a couple of different holster/pistol combos and it worked well with both, no sag, no droop. The belt is very classy looking, nice enough to wear to church. I figure this belt will last longer than I will.

I sit here waiting for my CCW, wearing my handgun around the house to get use to it. i have a G23 in a High noon split decision. Two days ago i got my beltman gun belt and all i can say is that it is like night and day. my gun does not shift at all, and stays close to my side. my newbe confidence is much greater for carry. now all i need is that card.
