I don't have the UC45, but I do have the UC9, and I would not hesitate to buy a 45 if I found one at a good price. My UC9 is VERY accurate and reliable. The Bersa 9's and .45's are some of the most underrated weapons on the market.

You should be able to find a used one somewhere in the $300 - $400 range. However, if you're considering buying one, I would recommend shooting one first. Like any weapon, one size does not fit all.

I have the nickle uc 45 I have been very pleased with it. I bought it used never had any issues with it. The grip is a little thick for some, I'm fine with it. Its simple to field strip. It was one of my first compact 45's and I haven't fired in awhile but best of memory the recoil is not bad. I agree it is a nice gun for $$ .

As for 1911 comparison I think there are some differences

decocker vs cocked and locked the biggest one
