Anybody use any attractant for deer?

Recommended Posts

I wondered if anybody here used deer attractants. I usually don't, but have a little in the past. I've thought about using C'mere deer but the stuff is expensive and my funds are not what they was a few months ago. I put out Trace Mineral salt year round but thats it. I know its not a great attractant but they love it and its got a few minerals in it. I tried a deer cocaine (called deercane now) and it was about as effective as me pissing on the ground. They never touched it. I put it right next to a major trail too.

I use "scent away" and then "earth scent wafers", Persimon or acorn, depending on where I'm hunting that day and/or the season. During the rut I use "Tinks 69" doe in heat. Does all this help? I have no clue, because I kill as many deer with as without.

Be careful which one you choose. If it contains ground or whole grains (corn, wheat, acorns) than it can be considered baiting. I am pretty sure that C'mere deer has corn in it, I could be wrong though. The game warden told me that as long as it dissolved into the ground that I should be ok. So I buy the liquid stuff. It has attracted deer for me, but with varying results.

Do not waste your money on anything C'meer deer makes it simply does work. Have used 3 day harvest in the past and have watch deer walk over it sniff it then keep on walking it just sat and molded on the ground. however black magic by deer cocaine seems to work pretty good have had deer revist it and dig holes in the ground.

I'd wondered about C'mere Deer. I know the stuff's expensive and if it don't work , thats bad. The guys you see endorsing it probably get it for free. They don't have anything to lose, right. Almost all the stuff on the market probably works sometimes. I've wondered about the Trophy Rock. It looks like a rock. I started to get one at TSC at Cookeville the other day.
