guys, i have been thinking about buying in ar-10 after hunting season. i want some serious firepower at long range just because! i have some ARs and it is time to step it up some. i'm thinking about the 16inch flattop or 20 inch but dont want it to be too heavy. i am just wanting some feedback from people who have shot them or own them. i want it to do at least moa or better as i plan on shooting it at 300 yards plus.

I have the Bushmaster BAR-10. It's now the RRA AR10(or whatever they call it). Has a 20", 1 in 10 twist free floated barrel and used unmodified metric FAL magazines. It's a MOA gun with the right load. I really like it.

I think the DPMS version is a little less expensive but I don't know about theeir barrels. As stated above, for long range a 20" barrel would be better and for bullets in the 165 to 200 grain class, 1 in 10 twist would be prefered.

very capable 18 inch barrel and i can put 5 rounds that you can cover with a quater you can shoot at your own holes if you have good enough glass on it, they say the sass is the best deal out there, the place i bought mine at has a sass for like 1700, they come with a magpul prs stock 3 mags qaud rail, back up irons, up graded trigger, and case, rail covers. check out snipershide and ar15.com both have a lot of info on these guns. plus dpms take sr-25 mags and pmags. hole lot cheaper than fnar or armalites modified m1a mags, rra lar take fal mags. also supposedly the goverment was down to the dpms sass and the knight m110 when they were looking for the new sniper rifle.
