I'm not a young man, but I don't give a crap anymore. I hate the state of our country and it's not all Bush/Obamas' fault. I blame the American people for being so damned ignorant. There are very few critical thinkers. Everyone one is being spoon fed by MSNBC and FOX. IT'S CRAZY!

Bush was not a good President. Period.

Whenever a President gets into the office, and declares we are going to be in a recession (which he did do) it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

When someone uses the US Military for personal family issues (Iraq- "We got him! We got the guy who tried to kill my Daddy!") he is not a good President...

When he removes tax revenue, and then goes ahead and signs huge spending bills, he is not a conservative.

The Patriot Act.

The critical damage to the right of Habeas Corpus.

TARP.

"We are leaving the Big 3 issue for the next administration."

Leaving Afghanistan for the next administration.

7.4 MILLION JOBS LOST during his administration.(Although, the job loss is not totally his fault, he did not act to stem the tide.)

Haliburton.

Deregulation of the Oil industry - arguably leading to the BP Spill.

Etc. Etc. and so forth.

Polishing only makes it shiny.

Obama, is a major let down (understatement.) But, sadly, had McCain been in, IMHO, we probably would be worse off. He would have been Bush revisited, only older, and less certain.

You still have a chance to re-elect Obama. We'll never know about McCain,

But I doubt the Keynesian crap would have been done(Democrat grab bag

of goodies). No one said Bush was perfect, but compared to this guy, he was

a saint. I just hope all the junk can be undone, including the Patriot Act.

Wow! The last time this type thread surfaced and I was anti Bush I got flamed. Now it seems ok to not march to the GOP tune 100%. Glad we woke up.

I wouldn't get too excited yet. There are still a whole lot of people here, there and everywhere that associate the GOP with good old-fashioned conservative values.

I would not be one of those.

I wouldn't go that far, Garufa. The GOP don't completely stand for good old fashioned

conservative values, at all. There are too many progressives in the so-called big tent.

They are the ones the Tea party is mad about.

Don't be surprised when you see Alexander and Corker become targets of the

Tea Party.

The GOP should stand for what you say. They need a serious house cleaning, just like

the Democrats. I don't see anyone doing anything about the Democrats.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had more choice than Dem or Gop? Wings of the same vulture.

There's usually a libertarian on the ballot for federal positions, but maybe I'm the only one that ever marks that choice, judging by the election results.

Or, as I like to say, two sides of the same plug nickel.

You aren't the only one. It does make things a bit 'anticlimactic' when you go into the voting booth knowing that there is a better chance of King Arthur returning to save England than of the candidate for whom you are planning to vote actually winning the election, though, doesn't it?

They do make anti-depressants. Available by prescription.
