Just bought a new FNX-40

After doing a lot of reading and asking questions, I finally just went ahead and bought one. I asked about prices everywhere and found oddly enough that Bass Pro was the cheapest I could get one in Memphis. A few other places wanted to charge me shipping to order one, which I wasn't interested in.

So I went up there yesterday and asked to see one again just to give it one last look. After making my decision, they went to get one from the back and as it would turn out, the display model was the only one they had. So I asked them for a discount for being the display model and after the manager came over, to my surprise they went ahead and gave me 10% off. So that paid for the background check and taxes. I paid a few pennies over the face price out the door and there was nothing wrong with it by way of visual damage.

It's a breeze to take apart and reassemble. Soon as I get it cleaned and lubed, I'm making a trip down to RangeUSA to try mine out. I'm stoked.

No, but I will! I had an FNP and loved it except for the DA/SA trigger. It was really good, but I much prefer the SA cocked and locked. I also like that they redesigned the safety lever. The FNP safety, while never failing, always felt below the quality of the FN pistol. While generally not a two-tone fan, the FNX is one two-tone pistol that is really nice looking IMO.
