I really really miss The Sopranos....I'm hoping this show scratches that itch...a little..

I cannot wait...Buscemi, organized crime, corruption, booze, women; what else could you want? Oh, how about directed by HMFIC Martin Scorcese? It's got that too.

The previews in May had me pretty fired up, I've watched the "making of" stuff on demand, and now it's finally here. Got my first 1911 yesterday, shot it today, and now this = great weekend (ignoring losses for Notre Dame and the Titans, but a win over Dallas by da Bears).

I lived in Jersey until I was ten. Then moved to Blountville. Big change. My dad's family is in the trucking business there. Defiantly have had some Mob run ins through the years. Always loved the Boardwalk and spent a lot of time in Point Pleasant. I'll second Garufa--Steve Buscemi is in it.

Just actually ordered HBO again for this. Well, this for me and True Blood for the wife. I watched it On Demand and I really enjoyed it. I love that era and when the young guy introduced himself to Jimmy as Al Capone I was hooked. One thing I love about HBO is the realism they can add and the production value of the shows.

I liked the first episode. I hope it winds up being better than Sopranos, but if it's only half as good, I'll be happy.

Just watched the 2nd episode this morning on DVR. I'm loving it. Nucky is a really interesting character and I like the way Steve Buscemi plays him.

It's shows like this, that make NBC, CBS, and ABC look stupid... all of the money that they spend to hire writers/produce garbage Network television, only to be bested, as usual, by the Home Box Office.
