Watched some football & went to Memphis to checkout a new HK P2000SK 40. Really got my feelings hurt on the price the guy offered for my trade :P I knew it was coming, but never hurts to ask. Who knew a HK P30 9mm with a 50 rd ct was only worth 400 buck? I honestly think, they thought they were doing me a fav or something  Ok I'm through ranting, guess I'll be sticking some more pennies in the bank b4 I take that boat ride.

Its is the anniversary of my birth. So I have slept in and then sat on my butt and watched football all day. Just like I would be doing on any Saturday during football season.

No I am not lazy I am way beyond that....If I could find a way for one of the kids to go to the restroom for me...I would have them taking turns doing it for me.

place looks dead from new theads and all.

So what have you all been doing?

Did a death march with the Cub Scouts this morning. Been piddle farting around since then.

beer is tasting good at any rate.

Not if you're drinking keystone light. I mean, it might be the same stuff as coors light but lite beers get there one way (well, not light beers, but lower cal beers) and that is by losing some of the alcohol.

But that is neither here nor there. It so happens I've been doing cub scout stuff too. Gotta get the A shirt, the handbook, the neckerchief and so on. It wasn't like this when I was a kid, back then all we got was a fire sharpened stick and best wishes from the Dads. If we didn't catch a snipe with a flashlight and a paper bag we went hungry. And we set broken bones with sage grass and mud.

Seriously, it's weird but when one kid joins the scouts it is like everyone joins the scouts.

I got up. Changed the oil in my car, added oil to the lawn mower. Mowed the front lawn and part of the side before I ran out of fuel. Went and got more fuel came home and prepared for a bike ride this afternoon. I had to go with my wife to get her hair cut. I watched the kids, she got the cut. I went from there to Fairview to ride with a couple of friends. Normally one of them falls at least once where as today it seemed to be my turn. I took a not terrible spill at the bottom of a hill where a dry creek bed had a bunch of loose soil and rocks. Front wheel just slid out as I made a slight right turn. A few scrapes and bruises but alright otherwise. It was still a fun ride although I couldnt talk them into two laps. We then went to Nacho's on 100 in bellevue. I am not sold on them but I am not a mexican fan. Went home and got my kit ready again for a race tomorrow out at Lock 4 park in Gallatin.

Took the car in for an oil change early, then spent most of the day working on a deck I'm building in the back yard. It's a fun project, and this deck might actually turn out to be fairly level and straight. Two trips to the Depot for supplies. Nice weather for working outdoors in. It's still hot--we're in the mid 90's over here--but at least it's dry. What a difference no humidity makes. The Mrs. had surgery yesterday so I took care of her while she's laid up. Thinking about surfing over to Carolina Shooters Supply and getting more crap for my Saiga rifle.

my own belated birthday present ... The fiance and I went up to Metropolis to play some blackjack. Stayed for a couple of hours, and then came home  Been trying to plan a trip up there for several weeks, and finally had a few hours to go! got my gambling itch out finally :P Luckily it only comes about once a year, normally around my birthday!

Did you win anything? OR how much did you lose?

lost about $100 bucks  we went with about $1,000 and left our cards at home. We had a fun time though .... and that is what matters! some guy at the table was talking about loosing $5-6k THAT night, and how he had maxed out his Credit Cards .... Then he was asking for help on how to play .... Felt bad for the guy. I won't lie ... I love the heat of the moment & gambling can be fun and addictive. Thus the reason we take counter measures so we never end up in that dudes shoes!

yeah... I went this summer and took $40 bucks, we only stayed for about 2 hours. I walked out with $97 dollars. I REALLY wanna go to Vegas now. That was the first time I had ever been gambling.

NICE!!! last time, we went with $300, and walked out at $1,100 :P We were actually up to about $1,250, but got $1,100 in "large" chips so we wouldn't be tempted to play them. Got down to $1,100 & walked :)

My fiance and I are originally from Los Angeles ... We moved here last year. The sad part - Even living in LA, I never made it to Vegas after I turned 21  Had been there atleast 5-6 times a year growing up, and it was always fun as a kid ... Kicking myself now for never going as an adult ...

I really wanted to play some tables, but never got up the nerve... I'm a Texas Hold'em MONSTER

i don't really consider poker ... "gambling" ... I play quite a bit of holdem online (pokerstars) .... When we go to the casino, we really only play blackjack. i hate slots and most other table games.

I like the slots.. I just sit down where the person getting up looks pissed off... I got up from one, because I had been winning big.. and the lady behind me pulled once.. and won 125 free spins...

Spent the day yesterday driving to Dallas to pick up an '89 Mustang 5.0 hatchback (I've owned it for years, it's been here being modified) then throwing the motor back together. Today I'm putting the intake and accessories back on and trailering it back with KC and some friends. Once it's on the trailer, it just needs fluids and an H-pipe to tie the exhaust together, and it will be ready to sell! ...Happy, not sad -- after all, I have a NEW project.
