Il Duce

Recommended Posts

As much as it pains me to say it, I am petrified of heights. When we went to Las Vegas last year, I could not force myself to get on either the roller coaster at New York, New York or the elevator that goes to the top of the "Eiffel Tower" at Paris. My family had to go without me.

I'm such a coward.

It's ok brother. I freaked out at Epcot going up the track into the bubble. It's really weird what freaks us out and what doesn't sometimes.

Rock climbing would scare the crap out of me. I just focus on the tower, and don't look down until I'm there and belted in. Most accidents actually happen when guys get too comfortable. Had a buddy knocked off a headache ball at 400 feet years ago. He would have been able to hang on if he would have been belted in.

OSHA is real picky about how those guys work, but good luck getting them to do it.

Sweet! Something to look forward to besides my already graying hair!

You're lucky you're gonna have gray hair... I'm gonna be bald, thanks to my dad and grandpa.

I would rather it turn gray than turn loose. Unfortunately mine is doing both.

Heights don't bother me and I might could do that if I built up to it, but first look is crazy.

hahaha nice but you know YOU want that easy 3,526 in one day's work....to change a flimsy strobe light bulb....think about how many guns you can get with that!

Word. I'm in. I've willingly fallen off of something about 10 times as high as this tower. I would tie off though. Money's no good if I slip 20 feet off the ground on the way down and break my neck. :(

It's not as rosey as it sounds. You have to have a ridiculous amount of insurance to work on most of the big towers. Most of the time, it's a poor workin' stiff that makes the climb. Riggers are well paid, but they ain't getting rich.
