No, I didn't get a new toy, I went to the range! $13 an hour plus 3 targets @ 1.00 ea, plus 100 rounds of .45, plus 150 rounds of 9mm, plus 50 rounds of .380. Yeah, I am pretty much broke now. But it was worth it!B)

Lets see:

Targets: Multi-use. AKA, watter bottles, milk jugs, political signs, etc., free.

Ammo: Just guessing here. 9mm-approx $35/150. 380- approx $18/50. No .45 Total $53.50

Range fees: My front yard. No charge

Total cost: $53.50

Living in the woods: Priceless!

I do not know about the rest of the guys on here, but it sounds like you need to find a new range. That is some high priced range time.

I am out of the state right now. When I am home, I don't go to ranges, but where I am right now, I can shoot indoor for $9 per day, all day long, or I can shoot outdoor for $3 an hour.

That's cheap. Most around here are $15 "per hour", although I've never actually been charged for going over.

Where do you guys go to shoot indoors for less?? Everywhere around here is around 13, give or take a couple bucks.

I shoot at Charlie Haffner's (formerly Owl Hollow Gun Club) for $40/year. Or $5/visit. Since I've been there more than 8 times this year already, I'm basically shooting for free now. Of course I don't live in Bartlett, so that may be a bit of a drive for you.

Dang. Yea that's a hike, but that's a great price.

Not the nicest range in the world. It's basically an open field with a covered rifle line. Pistol range is literally a pit and is usually covered in garbage from other irresponsible shooters. No RO or SO. I let my membership lapse after almost taking a round in the back about 3 years ago. Fellow pistol shooter decided he was too experienced to heed the cease fire, loaded a mag, put a round in the chamber and the gun "accidentally" went off.....with me downrange.

I think my fist would have "accidentally" gone off in his face. That's truly the biggest thing I hate about outdoor ranges.

If you had a girlfriend here, it would

Somehow I think Mrs. Punisher would object. Then there'd be the "Has anybody heard from Punisher since he went to Spring Hill?" thread and then someone would pop in and be like "She got the drop on him. He never saw it coming.":ugh:

I restrained myself from punching him, but I gave him one hell of a butt chewing. In a less proud moment, I also stripped the slide off of his Beretta and chuck it over the berm. He told me the gun was defective, so I threw it away for him!
