Just take the Magazine out of your Glock and put it in a SUB2000

With tax stamp and all it will be less than half price because this does not need a tax stamp.

I have held these before and they are very nice. The handle and feel well and look like they are well made. But they are not nice enough to spend $200 for a stamp then buy the conversion. Also, in semi there are much better options out there.

There is a guy at the last two shows here in Knoxville who has one on sitting his table. He also have a bunch of other NFA items as well.

There is a legal issue with what he is suggesting. A pistol can become a rifle, but a rifle cannot become a pistol. Once you turn your Glock into a SBR you can’t use it as a handgun anymore.

Forgive me for a dumb question:rolleyes:

Why do you need to get a stamp for these and not other pistol ammo rifles like the Hi Point carbine?

Posted

It becomes a SBR (short barreled rifle). A SBR is defined as a rifle having a barrel length less than 16” or an overall length of 26” or less. SBRs are regulated under NFA. If you were to get caught with this conversion, without the required tax stamp it would be no different than having an illegal machinegun. If there was proof someone was converting the gun back and forth there could be a problem as well. Thompson Center arm are exempt from the rule, but I don’t think anything else is.

Ok, I understand, the Hi-Point is 31 inches long & barrel is 16.5, heck, just buy a hi-point or Beretta ;)

The hi-Point is limited to hi-point mags and the same with the Beretta. I went with the Sub 2000 and Glock mags. That has its own issues but is fun to shoot for a 350 to 400 gun in 9 or 40.

Interesting, I think I'd rather just spend the same or less money on lever in 30/30 or 44 mag lever action and then go CRAZY on the tactical mods. More steampunk in my opinion.
