There are not many banks to choose from here in Dayton, TN. The main reason that I went with regions bank is because there are branches in other areas and there seems to always be one around. The following are a list of banks in Dayton. Does anyone know their posting policies or where I would go about finding their posting policies.

1. South East TN Bank and Trust

2. First Bank of TN

3. FB Bank, which I dont want to use as they charge a monthly maintenance fee

4. Tennessee Valley Credit Union

5. Community National ( I banked with them in the past and they have never been posted but I refuse to do business with them anymore)

Those are my choices I would prefer to go with TVCU but I am afraid they post.

I have not noticed any First Tennessee bank post. Too bad you don't have one of those

First Tennessee makes me :D

I wanted to open up a second account with them, and had $90 bucks, they said I didn't have enough money... The next day, I had a Suntrust Account and made a $4000 deposit... Ah Well, too bad for them.

Suntrust doesn't post.

I do have an account with suntrust but the nearest one to me is 30 miles away and I would hate to have to drive that far just to make deposits and what not. I used them when I was in the knoxville area.

I dont know about the postings part in your area but any credit union is going to treat you way better than any bank will ever even dream of, if you could find one that did not post that is where I would be.

My only problem with my credit union is that I did not join them 10 years sooner.

Right, I agree the only one we have in Dayton is TN Valley Federal Credit Union. I have not seen a posting on their bank but I had heard it was their policy to post and that all locations would eventually get posted.

I'm looking for a bank that isn't going to post AND doesn't charge service fees on their accounts. I'm free on all accounts at Regions currently. A decent interest rate on money market and savings doesn't hurt either. They can profit off the folks who habitually overdraft...

Doubt that is going to happen anywhere....

Define decent? In this economy it would be hard to get a 3% interest rate or less on most things. My mother has a 750 credit score and the bank would only finance her at 5% due to the economy and what not. Previously on all her vehicles she got 0% interest every time.

I actually got a pre-declined credit card offer in the mail the other day... ;)

For what it's worth, I've been happy with Green Bank. If you've got one close (I saw it isn't on your list), they're worth the drive.

Otherwise, First Bank of TN would get my vote. I had an account with them until I moved to an area where there aren't any locations.
