Well! YES! Order the rail that replaces the fore grip. and I thought the tactical model would be better because I can use whatever optics I want on it and the replacement rail allows a variety pf optional forward grips. I have a bipod grip and a CT green laser grip as well as a SIG laser light vertical grip. I plan to shoot it in the next couple of days.

ADD:

The picture at FNH USA is not how the weapon is sold

Shows the optional rail I have mentioned and the shown optic is optional also.

is what you get in either black or green. I got the black and waited over a month for the front rail from my LGS. I ordered it on line and had it in less than a week. The supplier for my LGS said it was back ordered from FN.

I found Pmags stick a bit but I sprayed them with Baricade then wiped them down and they are smoother in and out. I will know more in a couple of days.

Haha @ Desert Rat, I swear, you have at least one of everything. Kudos to you, man.

I'm not familiar with Baricade - google doesn't really help - any info you can share?

It just happened to be the first lubricant I picked up and would have helped you find info if I had spelled it right:

Birchwood Casey - News

Barricade!

Breakfree CLP or Gunzilla would probably have done the same thing it just needed a bit of lubricant for the plastic to plastic friction.

I like the 5.7 in the PS90 but not in the after market AR upper. Even though the FN pistol for that round as a longer range than regular pistol calibers I do not have the hand control required to place shots at 100 yards from the pistol that some can. I am going to practice a bit mre with the Five-seven.

I was not overly excited with the options available for the MSAR that i have as I want a light and laser for night use around the house. Even though the FS2000 is "FAT" (Only word that comes to mind) with the front rail I can use a variety of grips and light laser combinations. (More options) I was not overly excited by other FN products but might get a SCAR 17 if my LGS gets one in. I prefer the Sig line of 556s for that round and would suggest one of the tactical models but that is an individual preference those that have come here to shoot liked the 556 and my wife has her own that is set up just for her.

I am still looking for a weapon to use everyday for distances less than 200 yards that is easily transported because of the varmints on and around my property. The PS90 shoots well at that range but I am concerned about the stopping power on Yote sized varmints so I want something in 556/223 that I can carry and more important control.

I carry 2 weapons around the property, a Judge for close work and currently a P556 of the PS90 because of size and weight. When I get a sling and optics on the FS2000 I will carry that for a while to see if that fits my needs. I have a Sig 556 patrol SWAT but I do not like the longer barrel sticking out. That might be what I end up carrying because that is what I can shoot the best with right now and it puts a large dent in steel at 150 yards were 5.7 just chips the paint at 100.

I have actually got rid of some weapons as they were not practical for my needs or I just did not care for them as well as others.

The boating accident while deep sea fishing took a whole lot of my guns!!! :) and left me with just a couple of old shot guns

I had one for a while.

Pros:

1) Short length makes it handy

2) Accepts AR15/M16 Magazines

Cons:

1) Grip is very uncomfortable

2) It is heavy

3) Will not accept P-Mags

4) If the extraction mechanism jams, it takes forever to clear (happened several times)

5) Cocking lever and manual bolt hold-open are flimsy and not very positive

In the end, I got rid of it in favor of an SBR AR15 which is lighter, more reliable, more accurate, less expensive, accepts good magazines, and is easier to maintain... I don't regret it for a minute.
