There a millions of people in America who want our right to defend ourselves revoked. Now that I have read their website I'm starting to agree with them. I'm going to destroy all of my rifles, shotguns and pistols so I will be safer and we will have a safe society. READ this stuff below! It came off a WEBSITE and it has NUMBERS! It must be true!

More than 44 million Americans own firearms. Of the 192 million firearms owned in the United States, 65 million are handguns. Research shows guns in homes are a serious risk to families.

A gun kept in the home is 43 times more likely to kill someone known to the family than to kill someone in self-defense.

A gun kept in the home triples the risk of homicide.

The risk of suicide is 5 times more likely if a gun is kept in the home.

Advice to parents

The best way to keep your children safe from injury or death from guns is to NEVER have a gun in the home.

Do not purchase a gun, especially a handgun.

Remove all guns present in the home.

Talk to your children about the dangers of guns, and tell them to stay away from guns.

Find out if there are guns in the homes where your children play. If so, talk to the adults in the house about the dangers of guns to their families.

For those who know of the dangers of guns but still keep a gun in the home.

Always keep the gun unloaded and locked up.

Lock and store the bullets in a separate place.

Make sure to hide the keys to the locked boxes. "

They forgot:

Do not leave your house as you are 1,000 times more likely to be run over by a vehicle than to be shot by a gun so all vehicles should be banned as they are deadly weapons.

Bridges should be banned because people tend to jump off of bridges to commit suicide.

No building should extend further than 3 feet off the ground because people get injured falling off buildings and the taller the building the more serious the injury.

Children should not be allowed to ride as passengers in a motor vehicle because that is more hazardous than having a loaded gun in the house.

I forgot: You should not eat food because the chances are you might become ill from the food.

Do not breath because the air might contain a deadly contaminate.

Clearly it's not safe anywhere. I'm going to start wearing knee pads, Elbow pads, a PASGT helmet, goggles, body armor and a first aid kit with plenty of anti venom. Why? Because I might have to go to wal-mart, where there is a 95% chance I will have to leave my house to do so, in which case there is a 75% chance I'll walk through the yard to the road where theres a 10% chance there might be a snake from the stream behind us in the yard and then i'll have to drive past some apartments where there is a 80% chance that someone of gang affiliation lives which means i have a 58% percent chance of getting hit by stray bullets from a shoot out that has a 76% chance of involving firearms.

Lets not even get into the statistics of arriving at walmart... I heard they have.... Firearms...... in their sporting goods department. Just for the record, 87% of all statistics are made up.

They tried that. It increased alcohol consumption, and diverted a whole bunch of money from the crooks in the government to private sector crooks.
