Guns, politics, and religion are very passionate topics. It would be unusual if folks that held strong beliefs about one didn't have them (and feel free to express those convictions randomly) about the others. In a way, I suppose it comes with the territory.

I concur.

I have been on here for about 2 1/2 years and this morning, I put someone on my ignore list. Just tired of the BS.

Send me a PM and let me know what happened. And folks, when things start becoming "not fun anymore" be sure to use the Report This Post feature located at the bottom of every single post made on the forum. If you don't let us know, we can't act to fix whatever is going wrong.

Thanks. :)

It's simple really. Opinions are like a--holes. Everybody has one and most of them stink.

Amen!

If the yappers on this gun forum would just go shoot a freakin' gun once in a while all this angst would probably go away.

and Amen!

I am new on this site and I believe someone who would be considered a youngin to all of y'all. (not saying y'all are old or anything) but I will say someone asked me one time why I don't post much. And I replied because I don't feel like dealing with the bs.

For me to be new on here I can see the good ole boys on here who just on here to teach and learn from others and then I can see a bunch of people who are on here arguing and being ugly when people post a difference of opinion.

I don't post much because of that. I read alot and ask things when I need to. But I stick with private messages because I don't want to deal with bs from people. I'm not saying I don't know anything but I am saying I don't know everything and some people have made ugly comments to others about making dumb remarks and so I just don't post because of some of the argumentative people that are on here.

Now I havent read every post on this thread cause I got half way and decided I would post to this.

I don't feel age has anything to do with it. However, I do think maturity does. Those in my opinion do not always go hand and hand. I have seen 60 yr olds who are immature.

But I stay out of most threads when I disagree or when I read some of the posts and see that its more of an argument.

But I will say this, There are a lot of good people on here still though.

But everyone is ignorant in something.

Some people Just can't agree to disagree.

I agree with Mike 357, Punisher, and several others. Am youngster as far as time here and number of posts. I try to stay out of the arguments, and put up what I think are good thoughts, comments, or info. Been busted a time or two for the dumb ones. Live and learn seems to be the lessons. Was put off when first joined up with some of the BS we see, wanted to learn from the "ole timers". Found that could learn and have a laugh along the way. We all have opinions , thoughts, and beliefs and most of us take them to heart. Well maybe

some of us too much to heart, or maybe just try to express views a little to strongly. We just have to be a little more tolerant, thick skinned,or leave the personalls out. Found works for me, thought about busted post and hey Can Learn something. Don't post often but am more comfortable lately throwing in the 2 cents I figure thought is. Agree, disagree, bust, or put down. Just do it with civility, whatever the devil that may be. Hey, I enjoy the time here and do occasionally find a new trick or two this OLD DOG can learn!!!! Kick an old dog and you just might find he will piss on your leg then knaw with them old teeth. HEHEHE Keep it interesting, hot, and fun. Keeps me coming back!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know which category I fall in, but I think some

common courtesy could be displayed by some members

more often. If there's a discussion to be had, there seems to be a troublemaker right around the corner.

What's wrong with the idea of if it doesn't interest

you, why waste a comment? Or is it just normal?

The childishness, that is.

But that's coming from in uninternet savvy old fart..

If I don't have any gun topic to discuss, it's politics.

I think everyone that's posted thus far falls into the "can't we get along or at least be civil?" category.

I understand we all have bad days and get pissy, but some people act like they are on a mission in life to be nothing but argumentative jerks.

I enjoy the debates, and really don't mind if it turns into a bit of an arguement. But when it turns into personal attacks and name calling, to hell with it. And you are right Pun, there has been more of that garbage lately.

Since I'm new I guess I should ask this here:

What is the frequency of these "new-members-suck-why-can't-it-be-like-the-good-old-days" threads? I find they tend to occur quarterly on my other boards and I want to put it in my calendar now.

I'M KIDDING!!!!!! :D

All firearm boards get a little heated from time to time, especially when discussing tactics and training. Hopefully we can learn something from all members, both new and old.

Hey let it. Just be easier for the mods to know who we are all talking about.

Agreed... Some people need to read a post... Then put Alt+F4 and get it bigger on the screen so they can read it again.

I will thank you for bringing up who on this site to ignore as they tend to respond to statement by attempting to start arguments. Or maybe that is just how I saw your comments on other threads along with some of the other posters I thought were being argumentative. I did not feel a need to cry about my mistreatment by some supposed bully. Run back home to Momma so she can tell you what a good boy you are.
