I switched to Gunzilla. very little smell, non toxic, and I think it works better. Hoppe's is strong!

I love it. Takes me back to my pre-teen years. Don't use no. 9 anymore, but have a 30 year old bottle of it in the closet.

There is nothing like the smell of old #9...when you first open it up. After that it plays tricks on my mind.

I can't smell thanks to working, for a time, in an synthetic ambergris factory.

Still, I hate Hoppes. And I'll tell you why. I keep a can in my workshop next to a can of ether. I often get confused and my pick up line "Does this rag smell like ether?" only works 50% of the time.
