PS90

I am thinking of getting a PS90. Just have to decide which one, Tri Rail or USG. Also is there anyplace to rent one? It is so unusual that I would love to try before I buy. It would really suck to buy one and then not like it. I live in West TN but travel through Mid TN frequently.

I am in area code 865 and have one you could shoot! I have 2 and would suggest the TRI rail as I have removed the standard optics and added the after market rail to use a scope. Most people who shoot mine seem to prefer the Sig556 SWAT over the PS90 but I like them both. I have not yet set up a sling to carry the PS90 around my property to compare it with the P556 I now carry but I am working on it. The first one I got I set up for my wife to use so I bought a second one for me and now I am configuring it to carry while hiking my property. I see Yotes from time to time and do not want to carry a full size weapon every day. I just measured and a Sig556 with a folding stock is the same length as the PS90 when the stock is folded. I will carry mine tomorrow and let you know as the weight is close.

The 50 round mags are easy to load but do not fit most tactical cases being longer than the pockets. Weight wise I can carry 2 mags to one or 100 rounds of 5.7 to 30 rounds of 5.56. Cost wise is 30+ cents for 5.56 and 40+ cents for 5.7 per round bulk. Loaded the PS90 has a smaller foot print without the mag hanging down and on a plus side the empties drop down meaning it can be shot from either shoulder but if you are shooting at a bench watch for hot brass in your lap. You should also consider the FS2000 which is a half inch longer but bulkier.

They are great rifles and a blast to shoot however the Bullpup design was just something that I could not warm up to that is why I sold mine

I found a range that while it does not rent the PS90, the owner is going to let me shoot his personal gun. It is only about 30 miles out of my way tomorrow when I have to head back to work. I am considering the standard model as it has BUIS and an Aimpoint optical site. Thanks for the offer,Desert Rat.

I stopped by and shot a PS90 today. Wow! Just Wow! Now to choose between black and OD. I did decide on the standard model as it has BUIS and is less expensive than the USG or TR. Got to hold an FS2000 also. It is now next on my list.

There is a forward rail that replaces the forward grip on the FS2000 to allow a vertical fore grip which makes it easier to control than the standard.

I've owned both and loved them. I think I'll be getting another FS2000 and get the new forend rail they didn't have when I had mine. It was one of the most accurate carbine's I've shot, and I imagine with a vertical grip might be even more stable.

Also would like to get another PS90. I didn't shoot mine as much as I would have liked so got rid of it to fund another purchase, but of course regret it now...

Stopped by and ordered a PS90 today. Now to pick out optics. The Mini ACOG, with a TROS low mount, is the one that I am leaning towards.

If you're going to get an FS2000, get some optics. The stock iron sights suck pretty bad. Kind of a sweet looking gun otherwise. (Haven't shot one yet.)
