Raven Concealment, eat your heart out

Recommended Posts

Pulled the trigger on a Spada Tactical Holster from Peter's Holsters after reading and hearing rave reviews about them.

Can't wait for it to show up, even though it's a 20 day backlog. :D

Got it setup up for my M&P9 with the TLR-1 on it.

Will give a thorough review of it once it gets here.

And without further adoo, the mandatory porn.

I waited two months for my Thunderbird Defender from K&D. Quality takes time. This will teach you patience, my son.

Well so much for not having a 7652873465 month lead time.

Ordered it September 2nd, and just got it today. I threw a temper tantrum to get it too, other guys were getting theirs with 2 months and mine took almost 4.

Holster looks good, edges are sharp as hell though, gonna have to sand them down. And it's ridiculously tight around the light. Gonna work on that with my old friend heat. Overall it could use some better workmanship for having taken 4 months to make, but it'll serve it purpose. Though next time I'll just order the Raven and know I'm gonna wait rather than be led on for so long.

It's very disappointing to hear about the lack of edge dressing on that holster. I'm not surprised, though. The holster looks very cool in photos, but the rough edges are evident. There are more popular Kydex holster makers who neglect the edges as well, so he's in good company. I probably spend a little too much time dressing the edges on my holsters, but I want each customer to get the holster that I'd want to have. If you'd care to know what I do to the edges on mine, send me a PM. Or, you could mail me your holster, and I'll polish the edges for you, for free, and mail it back to you.

I'm in my 11th week of my wait for Raven, so I feel your pain. In the interim I've ordered holsters from Calculated Sentience and NTAC holsters. Bother are the same style as the Raven, but with a much shorter wait. The CS Kaluban Cloak is, so far, my favorite of the two. The mag holders are a bit tight, but otherwise the workmanship is first class. Unfortunately, I believe CS is not taking orders right now.

The NTAC is a fine holster, but doesn't seem to ride as tight as the Kaluban. Again, the workmanship is fantastic. I don't think either of these holsters are MOLLE-compatible, but that is not a concern for me.

Finally, I'm awaiting my order from Secret City, which should arrive next week. All of which will be ordered and received in the time it takes to get the RC.
