I don't think Opie is just letting it go. Things are going to come full circle. Jax, Opie, and Piney want to change the club. That's not going to come easy...or for as long as they can crank out interesting seasons with other bad guys to deal with.

I know Piney, Jax, and Opie are "the good guys" for lack of a better term, but how boring would the show be if Jax turned the MC into a social club. No illegal stuff? No guns? No biker ho's?

I hope they don't succeed.

BTW...I really dig the new pic!!

Oh I agree. I don't think they'll do anything like that until they end the show. There will have to still be some drama lol

Thanks!

Have been watching some of the back episodes on the interwebz, having previously only seen a few.

With the acknowledgment that this is basically a biker soap opera, the show is pretty addictive. Like the previous Shield "good-hearted bad police" soap opera.

Having lead a relatively sheltered life, am curious about the reality of the gun-running theme in the show. With the USA having so many legit guns available for law-abiding citizens, plus a steady supply of guns going to criminals via theft-- Would there really be a big business importing and selling illegal guns from other nations? Or is that aspect of the show largely fictional?

It's there if you are looking for a steady supply of a certain weapon, which the people they sell to are. It's embellished because it's TV, but gun running is still very much alive.

Famed author Stephen King will make a guest starring appearance in Tuesday night’s episode of SONS OF ANARCHY as “Bachman,” an associate of Tig's (Kim Coates) who is highly skilled in an unusual profession and called upon to help Gemma (Katey Sagal) and Tara (Maggie Siff) out of a bind. The logline is as follows:

Episode 3 – “Caregiver” (Airs September 21, 10:00 PM ET/PT) – The club exploits its porn connections to entertain Henry Lin’s clients, which doesn’t sit well with one member. Written By Chris Collins & Regina Corrado. Directed by Billy Gierhart.

SONS OF ANARCHY bowed its third season, ranking as the most-watched scripted series telecast in basic cable this year in P18-49 (2,814). The second week’s episode retained a solid 84% of its premiere in P18-49 (2,370 vs. 2,814), stronger than last year’s week 1-2 retention (81%). Among W18-34, SOA posted its most-watched telecast in its history.

Visit SOA Season 3 to watch an exclusive SAMCRO blogger interview with Stephen King regarding his role on the series and how his passion for Harley's influences his life and his legacy.

Over the weekend downloaded and watched all the episodes. I like the show.

Maybe one of the biggest "reality" problems with the show-- Apparently all the members have in the past served prison terms, presumably felony. At least once in the series all those guys have been arrested by the feds while packing heat. In the real world, that ought to have put them all back in jail for felon firearms possession, regardless whether they could weasel their way out of other sundry mayhem charges?

True. Of course they should all be dying in jail by now lol but it's tv.

Loved the Stephen King cameo!

Totally awesome cameo.

And unrelated, I do believe that Maggie Siff is pregnant. They did very few shots showing her stomach mostly focusing on head/breast shots.

Who knew King could look relatively believable as a biker? That Road-Glide looked out of place, though.

Still, great episode! Especially the "party scene". Like we didn't know Opie was gonna get mad even before he started pounding shots?!

He actually rides quite a bit I believe. I know he's a huge fan of the show. Here's a trivia fact for ya. His character's name was "Bachman" and King wrote several books and stories as "Richard Bachman".

As for Opie...who thought it would be a good idea to let the biggest guy in the club start pounding shots while his girl is playing hooker in the next room?! Lol
