Time for my off-season depression to set in. The finale was awesome.

Yup. :) I was quite literally a nervous wreck the whole episode. Absolutely brilliant though, just friggin' brilliant. Kurt Sutter and everyone on that show down to the catering guy deserve an award.

I didn't see that coming. Too bad they had to mess up the Crown Vic at the end. I mean, what did the Vic do to deserve that. :)

Small price to pay lol

BTW if anyone wants the song it is on ITunes, but here's a youtube link...I'll admit I wanted to damn near cry when it started playing, I just KNEW things were about to go down.

Great episode. At the end when Tara was reading John Tellers letter he said something like my sweet thomas will not have this life or something like that. Does Jax have a brother we do not know about?

Noticed that too... must be a (dead?) younger brother out there somewhere. Jax will also no doubt figure out that Gemma and Clay killed his father, unless Tara hides those letters, which my wife and I suspect may happen... we are thinking she is a lot more like Gemma than she will admit.

Anybody know for sure what the Circled Cross symbolized? We scoured the net for a few minutes and couldn't tie it to the IRA or the Russians. Can't remember, but was it the same symbol that was put onto Cameron Hayes' forehead (the guy who kidnapped Able) after the IRA killed him?

Thomas is Jax's younger brother who died when he was very little from the "family flaw" a heart defect they all get from Gemma. He was mentioned frequently in S1.

The circled cross is the IRA symbol as far as the SOA universe is concerned. It was what they put on Cameron's forehead yes.

Thanks. I had forgotten that. I have the memory of a frog on crack. :(

My heart was beating in my throat the whole episode.

When it was over, I couldn't have been more pleased. I can't think of a single moment in television history that has held me so enthralled.

The way it was handled, the loosed ends, all of them, that were tied. It was superb.

The show is right back where it was in season one, with Jax's inner turmoil, but now his loyalty has been shown to the club even stronger than what we could have suspected at the beginning.

I am thrilled to see where it is going from here. A clean slate, no one to worry about but the Russian and the lack of Charming PD support.

I don't think Tara will give Jax the letters. If she knew about how close he came to walking on Abel, maybe, but not now. She is poised to become Gemma when Gemma and Clay step down. She wants what the club is. She wants Jax to want it.

I think that is ultimately going to be the conflict. Are Jax and Tara really Clay and Gemma? It's going to be fun to see it all play out. I gotta admit I loved the smiles and laughter as it all played out for SAMCRO.

Yep....caught myself actually flexing when Clay and Jax smiled after the horn honking....

They played that out great, didn't they? I cannot wait for the next season - the show moves along nicely and has a great set of sub-plots going (like when Bobby was helping the porn business and dipping into the till - a couple of ways).

Dude! That's a great idea. It would be an ironic choice for any parents, especially considering how it turned out last time I heard it was done.

Also, like others have said, best writing ever & awesome cast!
