Model 1 Sales, didn't even get a reach around!!!

Dang I feel violated. I recently made an order from Model 1 Sales for an action block, and a bottle of duracoat. Found it kind of odd that they don't tell you the shipping when you order. Now I know why. Your gonna get screwed.

Action Block = 45.00

Duracoat tan = 16.95

Shipping = 27.52

What the hell!!!! I didn't find out till the package arrived. It didn't even have the duracoat in it. They drop ship that item.

Called Model 1. There standard shipping is 15.00 Why not just tell that on the front end. Duracoat had a 12.52 HAZ fee. The best part is I ordered a bunch o crap from Brownelles too. It had two boxes one oversize, and total shipping was 10.00 and it had duracoat in it too.

Trying to figure out if I can do some kind of charge back with my CC.

Lesson Learned:

Hmm. I bought an upper from them and the shipping didn't seem outrageous. But then it would be a much smaller fraction of the total.

Yep, yep that is the first time I ever ordered anything without getting the shipping first. I was hoping after reading the shipping policy that I would get a total as soon as I confirmed. Was a little shocked that I didn't, but there message left me feeling secure. I figured they must be going the extra mile to get low shipping rates, guess I was wrong. What really pissed me off was when I called, I figured it was due to the Hazmat fee, but when the chick told me they had a standard 15.00 charge I was blown away. If you have a standard charge post it. Easy enough.

What really get's my goat, is I could of ordered the Duracoat later, I only needed the action block, and only ordered it cause it was like 5$ cheaper than brownelle's.

I hate learning lessons...

Maybe you can check with the shipper and find out how much they actually paid in shipping, find out if they over charged then complain to the CC.

Hell might be worth a shot.
