I don't watch TAPS because well, I don't believe in GHOSTS.

However, they need to include a don't try this at home if similar tag line with their show if they don't have one. Seems people tried to go ghost hunting and well if there are ghost they may have created another one.

**********

A ghost hunter in North Carolina was walking along the supposedly haunted train tracks on a 100-metre long trestle when an oncoming train struck and killed him.

I don't have to worry about trying that at home...

There's no train tracks running through my house or property. ;)

Shouldn't have walked into the light.

;)

Probably should have... but didn't see that one coming. Then again, that guy probably didn't see it coming either.

Yeah, I know... my joke was worse. I'm leaving now.

BTW... how the **** do you NOT see a train coming, hear it coming, or... not get the **** out of the way???? (i.e. BEFORE it gets to you)

Well... maybe a lot of this had something to do with it?

All that did was remind me I have a bottle of Woodford Reserve waiting for me in the kitchen. ;)

And there are train tracks behind my house... ohnoes!

This thread had great potential if someone in that ghost hunting crowd would have had a vid camera. Would have given the dumbass in the street dancing with the ice cream truck a run for his money.

100 meter long trestle would be a pretty good clip to run. Worst case scenario, he was right in the middle, 50yds from either end. And depending on how the "floor" of it was constructed, it may have been pretty open with lots of space between the ties. He should'a jumped. ;)

Here we go.

I would like to thing had I been dumb enough to have been there, I would have got smart quick and jumped or hung over the side of the bridge.

I know I did some dumb things when I was younger. I have walked around allot of train trestles and they are not generally easy to walk on.

We generally knew the train schedule there though since it only run once a day.

However in college I did walk though a train tunnel a few times, but we knew there were man holes on the sides about every 30 feet you could stand in if needed to let a train past.

However I don't think I would do that again either.

EDIT, I just noticed my posted above took. I had accidental hit back on IE and lost what I typed and thought I had not posted anything.

Jump where?

Three lite engines heading eastbound. It's odd to me how this fool didn't see the train, and how the train crew couldn't get stopped. Someone didn't see someone else, or they completely misjudged that someone's location in relation to the foul of the train.
