I agree with Joe, Punisher,R1100, Dolomite. It's obvious you Have Not Been There and Done That.

Sure shortages do happen. Talk to friends and family who are there monthly at least several at

the most remote FOB's and believe me they seldom seriously lack anything. Give up a little of the

good life and spend some quality time in This Man's Army, grow some cajones and learn where

your Good Life comes from. If you can't support the war then you better damn well support the

Men and Woman fighting it, for they are the ones paying for your good life.

I don't post often, but you just fry my but. Maybe my fellow poster's are dead on, you have no conception

of the boredom and stark terror that makes up the day to day ops and down time in country.

Put a sock load of your crap in and keep it shut.

Have you been stationed in Afghanistan to know such a intimate details about FOB boredom

When I was a young kid, we used to have a dog named "Spot". He had hip dysplasia, was blind in one eye, and was very hard to train. My Dad wanted to put the dog to sleep because he figured he wasn't comfortable in his way of life, but my Mom liked having him around because when somebody would walk by our fence he would take off running to bark at them, and either end up slamming into something because he didn't see it, or one of his legs would go numb and he would slide on his butt and spin around in circles on the floor. Needless to say the dog was retarded, but we kept him around for entertainment.

I reckon that's why you are still here Strel.

That's the answer I have been waiting for. Which side?
U soo funny .

No side my friend . At a bad place at a worst time . Hope you can understand something like that .

You had to have taken a side, maybe not actively fight with one side but favored one side more than the other(s). It is hard not to form likes and dislikes in a war zone in which fighting is going on around you.

So which war zone were you in? Former Yugoslavia?
